New App by Local Entrepreneur Allows Tenants to Break Property Lease

A more transient lifestyle due in part of COVID-19 and people now moving more often to follow work, family and hobby requirements all add up to a new way of living where shorter-term living options are required, according to founder and Director of the new app Break your Lease, Richard Saville.

 

He said that many people have sadly lost their job due to the pandemic, and now are due to move at short notice, depending on where they can find work, so short term rentals are now required at both ends of move.

 

“In addition, the economy right now is not stable, which means people cannot afford their leases, and these tenants will be unable to stay in their current lease,” Mr Saville said.

 

“Unfortunately, none of these situations are supported by the current rental opportunities, as these start at 6 months. The only way tenants could leave their lease, until now, was to pay a large termination fee or run around trying to find a friend or acquaintance interested in taking over the lease.”

 

Now, the entrepreneur and property developer, Mr Saville has created a brand-new app called Break your Lease that matches up prospective tenants and properties belonging to tenants who cannot honor their current lease.  It is already so popular that over 700,000 people have downloaded the app already, and costs just $40 for someone to register their lease they need to break.

 

“This means that no termination fee is applicable because the tenants have found someone new to take over the lease, and they can leave before their lease is up.”

 

Mr Saville has teamed up with a number of high-profile Ambassadors, like music guru Sean Paul, and QLD maroons legends Chris Walker, and  Justin Hodgers. They have recorded videos for Break your Lease and have also shared notes promoting it on their own socials.

 

Mr Saville said he was struck with this idea when he was working in real estate, and clients were looking to break their lease. Mr Saville himself had to ring around other tenants on his books to find a replacement, but then he figured “why not create a better that will ensure these people are actually brought to us?”

The app has now launched on the Australian and New Zealand app store is also available to users in the US, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK.

Saville has big plans for the app, with work underway to expand to include services for other types of leases including private and commercial vehicle loans, motorbike loans, with boat and jet ski loans added on 10 November.

Mr Saville is also launching the first real estate app internationally on Mac Book on the 10th of November, to a prospective audience of  over 200 million users on Mac.
