4 best sauce for pizza

  • Written by News Company

The one food everyone can agree on is pizza. Pizza gives everybody the choice of picking it up on the way home, making a homemade pizza, or popping a frozen pizza in the microwave. The one thing every pizza pie needs is great sauce, toppings, and cheese. Among the usual toppings for pizza are pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, onions, extra cheese, peppers, black olives, pineapple, chicken, spinach, fresh basil, ham, pesto, and beef. You can have a pizza with one of the toppings, a combinations of two or more toppings, or go all the way and put all the toppings on a pizza. The pizza crust gives you a lot of choices too. You can have a thin crust, whole wheat, stuffed crust, French  bread, deep dish, and other choices too. You can also have untraditional pizza with a grated potato or cauliflower crust.

Shrimp Sauce can be used with grilled chicken, beef, fish, rice stir fries, or vegetables. Take mayonnaise, granulated sugar, tomato paste or ketchup, all purpose spice mix and blend them all together in a bowl. Whisk in 3 tablespoons of water so that the sauce is not too thick. Adjust for seasonings and cover the bowl and place in the fridge to absorb the flavors.

Tahini Sauce

In a bowl soak garlic in lemon juice for about 10 minutes. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into another medium bowl. Press the garlic with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the garlic. If you prefer you can omit this step and add the garlic to the food processor with the other ingredients.

In a food processor blend the tahini paste, lukewarm water, garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until the sauce is creamy and ivory-colored. Add more water until desired consistency. Blend for about 3 minutes.

Pesto Sauce

In a food processor blend basil leaves, chopped walnuts, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Pour oil slowly while blending. Stir in salt and pepper to taste.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

Place a saucepan on medium heat and add pineapple juice, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, and food coloring. Stir well and bring to a boil.

Mix the water and cornstarch together and add to the saucepan. Whisk until the cornstarch is completely mixed in and the sauce has thickened.
